I am a sound designer, audio/video engineer and production manager based in Maryland close to Washington, D.C.

My sound designs have been heard around the D.C. area, for companies including Constellation Theatre Company, Keegan Theatre, Metrostage, Spooky Action Theater, Flying V and Rorschach Theatre Company. More details and my resume can be found here. My designs have ranged in scale and scope from a few carefully chosen sound effects right through to large-scale musicals. For my work on Caucasion Chalk Circle, I was nominated alongside Matthew Schleigh and Brian Lotter for the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Sound Design.

I am also an experienced sound engineer, and I bring my extensive knowledge of all common-place audio equipment and how it might be used to all of my designs. I have worked extensively as an A1 (mixer) and A2 for musical theatre, often complemented for my skill behind the mixing console. As well as designing I also work as a freelance production sound engineer, assisting other designers with selecting equipment, installing systems and then working alongside them to deliver their vision for the production.

More recently, as theatre and performance has moved online, I have developed my skills remotely recording and designing audio drama. Some examples of my work can be found here. Additionally, I have worked for a number of theatre companies remotely recording and editing audio and video for streamed productions. Some examples can be seen here. I have also provided services to several companies as a video and live-stream operator, streaming events to YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook from my home studio.

Alongside my freelance work, I am currently the Audio/Video Supervisor for Shakespeare Theatre Company, a LORT B/B+ regional theatre located in Downtown Washington D.C. In this role, I manage all audio and video aspects of all the shows and events that pass through the Company’s two theatre spaces and presented online.
