Producer: Nick Morris

Nick Morris

Nick has spent the last two years running a youth theatre group, RicNic Productions, with whom he produced two sell-out musicals: Kiss Me Kate, and Calamity Jane. Other productions he has worked on include Twelfth Night, The Crucible, Henry V and Oklahoma!. Most recently Nick was on the production team of E.U. Footlights' production of The Pajama Game, and is now delighted to be working with EUSOG on this revolutionary show.

Executive Producer: Debbie Hicks

Debbie Hicks

This is Debbie's fifth year at the Fringe and first show as President of Edinburgh University Savoy Opera Group. She made her Savoy debut in Me and My Girl last year, and has since offered herself at the alter of amateur operatics, and regrets nothing. No stranger to either side of the footlights, she has stage managed for EU Footlights earlier this year and Fringe Production company Festival Highlights since 2005; performed with the Edinburgh University Theatre Company and Bournemouth G&S Society; appeared on-stage in the Millennium Dome and the Globe Theatre and elbowed her way into any theatrical venture too slow to say it doesn't need any more staff, thanks. She should probably spend a bit more time working on her English degree.

Director: Nina Logue

Nina Logue

Nina has just graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a Masters degree in English Literature. She started speech and drama training from the age of five, and has won several drama competitions around her home country of Northern Ireland. In 2003 Nina received an Exhibition Award for one of the highest distinction marks amongst UK students for her Musical Theatre exam, before obtaining her ATCL diploma in Musical Theatre in 2005. During her time as a student, Nina performed in over 15 shows for Bedlam theatre, E.U.Footlights and EUSOG including various roles in The Laramie Project and The Vagina Monologues, Martirio in The House of Bernarda Alba, Angela in Abigail's Party, Gladys in The Pajama Game, Anita in West Side Story, and Joanne in last year's Fringe production of Company. Earlier this year, she went to New York to perform in Ella Hickson's award-winning play Eight. Aside from performing, Nina also wrote and directed short plays for Bedlam's Candlewasters. She is thrilled (and nervous!) about making her official directorial debut with Rent.

As a music scholar at Eton College, Simon studied piano, flute and singing, and sang with the Eton College Chapel Choir for the duration of his time at school. He toured to Germany, Cuba, Australia and New Zealand with the choir, and while at school was invited to perform in productions of Carmen, Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci at the Royal Festival Hall.

As an accompanist, he has performed in and around Edinburgh over the last four years with mezzo-soprano Anna McAlpine, most recently performing Mahler's Kindertotenlieder at St Giles' Cathedral.

A keen composer, Simon has written incidental music for productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Relapse, Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead, and Attempts On Her Life, as well as writing songs for a musical adaptation of the Greek-tragedy, The Oresteia.

Heavily involved in the theatre, Simon has acted as musical director on productions of Sondheim's Marry Me A Little, at EUTC's Bedlam Theatre, and on EUSOG's 2008 Fringe production of Company, as well as playing in the band for numerous University productions. He acted as repetiteur for Edinburgh Studio Opera's 2008 double-bill, Venus and Adonis and Acis and Galatea.

Simon has been a member of Edinburgh University Footlights for the last two years, performing on stage in productions of Crazy For You and The Pajama Game, also working as musical supervisor on the latter. In February 2010, he will be musical director for their next production, Anything Goes.
